Conductive Containers, Inc.

1978

At its core, Conductive Containers, Inc. has always been driven by innovation and customer collaboration. In 1978, founder Ralph Ohlbach visited a customer to discuss conductive paint—who suggested trying it on a box. Inspired by that idea, Ohlbach developed Corstat®, the first conductive corrugated material engineered to function as a Faraday Cage, capable of shielding electronic components from electrical charge. His patented invention led to the founding of Conductive Containers, Inc. in Chicago, Illinois, marking the beginning of a company that pioneered static-protective packaging for the emerging electronics industry.
